  • Overview

    Everyday Health, a leading provider of digital health and wellness solutions, is looking for a dynamic and passionate product designer with strong user experience bona fides and demonstrated experience shipping products. You’ll develop product strategies based on insights from consumers, and translate those insights into beautiful, usable and addictive products.  You’ll oversee the product design process from ideation to execution, maintaining a customer-driven vision throughout.

     

    Who You Are

    • You’re a meticulous product designer who is curious about why people do what they do, and you love building user experiences in that context. You will be a tireless advocate for the health consumer and the challenges and opportunities they face. You balance art and science, using data-driven research to support and challenge assumptions about consumer behavior. You are comfortable working in mobile web and native apps, and excited about emerging platforms.
    • You are inquisitive about new technologies, what’s happening in the market and trends in design/UX.  You love pattern libraries and strong information architecture. You’re able to communicate the value of user experience to all audiences. Change doesn’t scare you; You thrive in a nimble, collaborative environment. You love partnering with others - product, engineering, and editorial - to build great solutions for consumer needs.

    Responsibilities

    What You’ll Do

    • Lead concurrent design projects across the entire product lifecycle, setting and maintaining the UX vision for the whole team
    • Integrate consumer insights every step of the way. Understand which research methodologies and/or analytics will drive decision-making.
    • Generate wireframes, site flows and prototypes. Be able to demonstrate interactions and animations.
    • Work within Agile framework, with small cross-functional teams, focused on quick results and long-term wins
    • Be responsible for your own work, deadlines, attention-to-detail.
    • Understand product success metrics and obsessively work to optimize or improve performance
    • Communicate and present product design strategy and thought leadership

    Qualifications

    What You Bring

    • Bachelor's degree, technical, product, creative background or experience preferred
    • 5+ years of related work experience in product design with a focus on media and commerce brands.
    • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Zeplin, InVision, Google Analytics, Jira
    • Experience working in a SCRUM development process.
    • Entrepreneurial, scrappy, and nimble in approach
    • Creative and passionate about building products people love
    • Experience facilitating design research methodologies
