What to Expect, the world’s best known pregnancy and parenting brand, is looking for a creative marketing professional to lead it’s sales marketing team and branded content studio, “The Delivery Room.” You'll be responsible for developing effective marketing and sponsorship programs that take advantage of What to Expect’s category-leading brand, content capabilities, audience and data assets to drive new business, increase revenue, and, most importantly, ROI for our partners.


Key to success in this role is an intimate understanding of a broad spectrum of advertising categories – namely, CPG, Food, Pharma and Retail – experience leading a sales marketing team responsible for winning business, and an expertise marketing to the millennial mom across multiple platforms including mobile, social and video.


About the Work:


  • Inspire a manage a team of talented, motivated and results-driven marketers, strategists and branded content creators
  • Create, communicate and iterate What to Expect’s value proposition is internally to the sales team, and externally to marketing partners
  • Develop sales and marketing materials to be used by sales team to engage and close new business, and upsell existing clients
  • Develop strategies to identify, engage and close new business
  • Create sponsorship programs that leverage the What to Expect brand, voice, data assets, audience and cross-platform content capabilities to deliver results for top advertisers. Ensure programs reach KPIs
  • Oversee branded content production from inception to completion
  • Present opportunities to prospective strategic partners and targets
  • Build consensus for the WTE value proposition across sales, sales development and account managers



  • You have 10+ years working in marketing and strategy
  • You've spent 3+ years overseeing branded content creation
  • You're solution oriented, highly motivated and proactive self-starter who works well as both team member, manager and an individual contributor
  • You have a deep understanding of the media business
  • You're strategic – proof of leveraging creative ideation to support and expand business strategy
  • You're able to execute programs and activations at the highest level
  • You're a strong leader and have a collaborative spirit
  • You understand business trends and entertainment advancements outside of What to Expect
  • You're an analytical thinker with ideal experience in both Web Analytics (Google Analytics or Omniture) and Syndicated tools (ComScore, Nielsen, MRI etc.)
  • You have excellent interpersonal communication, collaboration and persuasion skills
  • You're an effective team player and coach
  • You're at ease with complexity
  • You have a dynamic personality, with a passion for health, wellness and parenting
