Ziff Davis and Offers.com are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Information Systems team. You will have the opportunity to work with a talented team in a small start-up like environment and contribute to every aspect of our Business Intelligence system

Responsibilities

Architecture, Design & Implementation

  • Develop intimate knowledge of the current design, architecture and implementation in order to provide effective support and enhancements to our Business Intelligence system
  • Work with internal clients to plan and implement new features and reports that enhance the core system components in order to improve productivity and directly impact revenue
  • Architect, design, develop, test, and deploy scalable and high performance data analytics, data mining and reporting components
  • Invent new and more efficient ways of analyzing and presenting complex data that guide critical business decisions
  • Train and mentor junior team members on software engineering best practices

Qualifications

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 7+ years of experience with software architecture, design, implementation, testing and delivery
  • Knowledge of data structures and algorithms
  • Experience with Ruby/JRuby and Scala or Python
  • Experience with database driven web application design in Ruby on Rails
  • Experience with PostgreSQL and Redshift
  • Knowledge of Data Lake architecture implementation on AWS
  • Ability to estimate, scope, and prioritize items on the development roadmap
  • Ability to work individually, or as part of a team with both tech and non-tech teammates
