Everyday Health is a leading provider of digital health and wellness solutions.  Everyday Health’s consumer-focused properties include online content, interactive tools and applications designed to allow consumers to manage a broad array of health and wellness needs.  We are currently seeking a Director, Strategic Partnerships to join our growing organization.  As a key revenue contributor, the ideal candidate will be responsible for selling the entire suite of Everyday Health properties to hospital clients and agencies nationwide.   This role is responsible for a specific list of accounts, breaking new business and growing current accounts for our hospital media team.

What you’ll do:

  • Work with the VP, Strategic Partnerships to develop the Everyday Health Hospital media business by working directly with the Director and Hospital support teams
  • Build trusted relationships (internal and external) to drive continued penetration into existing and new hospital accounts
  • Drive new business by prospecting new accounts and targeting both hospital clients and agencies with a relentless focus on closing business
  • Meet and/or exceed quarterly and annual revenue goals
  • Set sales strategies and advertising programs
  • Win new business (client direct and agency) and attract repeat business
  • Successfully negotiate advertising sales commitments, both for new and renewal accounts, that are consistent with the company’s business objectives
  • Respond to and Close RFPs with a sense of urgency
  • Work with marketing and site/product specific sales leads, and post-campaign sales support leads to create effective and compelling sales materials, presentations and client follow-up documents
  • Monitor, forecast, track and report sales performance


What you’ll bring:


  • 3-5 years of media sales experience (Consumer, Online and/or B2B), with a minimum of at least 3 years of successful online advertising sales experience
  • Experience working with health/hospital advertisers is preferred
  • Track record of outstanding sales performance
  • Demonstrated excellence in business relationship-building skills
  • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong contacts at key East Coast clients and digital agencies
  • Ability to think and plan strategically
  • Ability to solve problems and bring timely resolution to issues
  • Create, present and implement innovative advertising sales programs
  • Exceptional selling, presentation, negotiation and closing skills
  • Ability to work well internally with other departments (marketing, operations, site directors) and internal stakeholders
  • Superior listening and communication skills both oral and written
  • Positive attitude, enthusiasm, high energy, sense of humor
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • BS/BA Degree
