The HR Assistant will provide day to day support to our corporate HR team in NYC. This is an ideal role for any individual with prior office experience who wants to learn and grow into an HR career. You’ll collaborate with the HR global corporate team for talent acquisition, onboarding, benefits, payroll and HRIS. You’ll act as the “right and left hand” for the team. This position will report to the VP of HR in the NYC office.

  • Assist in organizing onboarding paperwork for new employees
  • Monitor New Hire documentation checklists for completion of onboarding steps
  • Maintain accurate and current records by creating and maintaining electronic employee files (domestic and international), and filing paperwork
  • Direct employees to company information on benefits, policies, procedures and assist with general inquiries
  • Assist with processing monthly benefits invoices
  • Maintain I-9 documents and confirmations from E-Verify in binders for both active and inactive employees. Monitor documents for upcoming pertinent document expirations
  • Assist with the creation, distribution and collection of annual incentive compensation letters
  • Update HR template documents as needed
  • Create draft communication for company-wide distribution
  • Work with building security to manage the creation and removal of employee badges; issue and monitor temporary ID badges for visitors
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned


  • 2-3 years experience in a large, complex global company with an interest in or education in human resources field
  • Bachelor’s degree required; business, human resources or accounting majors highly desirable
  • Excel proficiency and a highly analytical mind is needed to understand large amounts of data
  • Comfortable working in a complex and rapidly changing work environment
  • You’re a multi-tasking ninja and can seamlessly transition back and forth between tasks while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Extremely well organized with impeccable attention to the details
  • Experience with business systems and applications including MS Office and Google; exposure to HR applications desirable (applicant tracking systems, employee database)
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • General understanding of federal/state labor and employment laws
