What to expect, the world's best-known pregnancy and parenting brand, is seeking a talented and ambitious Frontend Engineer to join it's 15 person+ engineering team. We need someone that is courageous, with a good sense of humor, and is well versed in implementing pages that work across major browsers. This is a great opportunity for someone that is motivated to take web, mobile app and voice products to the next level.

With 10M iOS and Android app, 16M unique visitors per month, our audience are heavy users of and early adoperters of all digital platforms - mobile, social, IoT voice and AI to name a few. There is plenty of opportunity to grow and make a real impact by helping to improve the health of millions of women around the world at the most important time in their lives.


About the Job:


  • Build DRY code and libraries for future use


  • Optimize web application for maximum speed and scalability


  • Strong collaboration in full Agile team with Product, Designer, and Developers to create data-driven usr experiences


  • Ownership in small and large UI project, invovling web app and mobile web


  • Adhere to best practices for web technologies and responsive design


About You:


  • You have 3+ years of experience working with Java/CSS/HTML
  • You have experience using require.js, browserify, or similar JS bundling and minification frameworks
  • Your fluent in HTML5, javascript, bootstrap and CSS3, including engineering principles and best practices
  • You have the ability to produce markup and CSS that's flexible, small, and fast
  • You have experience precisely translating design specs and guidelines into functional pages and sites, including recognizing and vocalizing when a spec is incomplete or infeasible
  • You have a good understanding of SEO principles and experience with Github
  • You're versed in implementing pages that work across major browsers
  • Experience in coding responsive sites is an added bonus, as is server-side coding experience
