IGN Entertainment is seeking an Product Marketing Manager focused on Membership to work in our San Francisco, CA office.

As a part of IGN’s product team, the Product Marketing Manager (“you”) will help drive user adoption of our product across screens - from web to apps to OTT - and help build a playbook for driving engagement through all of these channels. The ideal candidate should have a passion for the customer experience with an analytical and creative approach.


You’ll bring a deep understanding of market trends and tactics to the table and work to develop a compelling strategy. You’ll work side by side with the engineering, editorial and video teams to make sure these efforts are delivered in a way that is authentic to IGN’s voice and experience.



  • Start at the top by analyzing our user funnel - whether web-based registration, new app installs or OTT - and developing a plan to optimize it.
  • Help build our lifecycle marketing strategy using drip or trigger campaigns, loyalty programs, e-mail or notifications.
  • Utilize analytics, usability studies, research and qualitative feedback to continuously improve our engagement metrics.
  • Participate in project-definition activities with other project stakeholders, including sales, engineering and marketing.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, serving as product and project manager, to define specifications, establish milestones, and manage the development and implementation against goals.
  • Communicating product status, key issues and launch plans to constituents across the IGN organization including senior management, design, engineering, operations and sales teams.
  • Develop marketing campaigns, collaborate on asset creation, and drive execution including optimization and tracking of results. Use email, on-site, push, and in-app marketing tools to execute campaigns.
  • Own reporting for marketing performance, including attribution, ROI, retention, and forecasting


  • 2-4 years of real-world experience in user acquisition at scale
  • Experience in performance-based marketing. You understand this acronym soup: CPA, CPM, CPC, ARPU and LTV
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical, data-driven, results-oriented, self-starter
  • Must be able to manage and prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
  • You have a passion for games, or a deep consultancy background (i.e. “well-versed in feigning strong interest”).
